Abstract

In this article I will outline the method of evidence based practice we have implemented during the last three years following the introduction of day surgery as a specific speciality in our Trust. I will outline the method of accessing information on a regular basis and how this information was used to improve the service we offer. Finally I will suggest how, as a group of professionals, we may take this initiative forward towards AD 2000.
